Lo stilista di oggi è . . ." COCO CHANEL " !

Boy Capel e Rue cambon :

Coco Chanel, the pseudonym of Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel (Saumur, August 19, 1883 - Paris, January 10, 1971), was a famous French designer, able with his work to revolutionize the concept of femininity and establish itself as a key figure in the fashion design and the popular culture of the twentieth secolo.Di she wrote in 1926 Vogue magazine:"Coco Chanel created the new uniform of modern women. »Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel was born August 19, 1883 in a poorhouse in Saumur, the child was conceived outside of wedlock, as well as his sister Julie, born a year before. The father of

The three sisters Chanel, were entrusted to the Sisters of the Congregation of the Sacred Heart, at the orphanage Aubazine. The collections of Chanel you can feel the influence of years of monastic life, the sisters have inspired Mademoiselle 's "love for the white and black' and '" austerity. "
Exceeded the age limit to stay at the orphanage, Julie and Gabrielle were sent to a school for learning the domestic arts of Notre Dame.Coco turned eighteen in 1901 and began working as a saleswoman in Moulin, There he developed the concepts of learned sewing from the Sisters of Notre Dame and in-depth with Aunt Louise.
In the same years he worked in the shop Maison Grampayre, began a brief career as a singer at a cafe-concert. It seems that the nickname Coco comes from the song in which Gabrielle esibivaLa first turn in the life of Gabrielle is the encounter with her first lover, Etienne Balsan de Balsan.Chanel met in 1904. Balsan was also the first designer of the lender. Son of textile manufacturers, and a cavalry officer, Balsan Chanel invited to move from his castle Royallieu Balsan was a lover of horses and racing, so Chanel found himself spending his time in the stables of thoroughbreds of her lover. Probably it was the life that inspired later equestrian riding pants and knitted tie.Balsan seconded allowing you to create the hats at his apartment parigino.Intorno 1909, Coco Chanel began her career by making hats: hats existed in an era when lavish - covered with feathers and impossible to wear without an elaborate support structure called Pompadur - the straw hats for Chanel, adorned with satin flowers simple or single feathers, the network of friendships scioccarono.Attraverso Balsan, Chanel, he formed his first customers.Boy Capel and the Rue CambonAt the residence of her first lover, Chanel met what is considered the love of his life [22], Arthur "Boy" Capel.Capel encouraged and financed the work of Chanel. The two went to live together in Paris, where the anticipated Capel money to allow her to open her own boutique at 21 Rue Cambon.Coco and Boy never married "because of the social gap that separated them, having been an orphan of uncertain origins Chanel and Capel a representative of the upper middle class."Another cause was the fact that Boy, Chanel put before a decision: "the love of his life or work," putting aware that he would marry another woman. She unwittingly chose the job.In 1912, when the store was already well underway for two years, Chanel began selling in addition to its well capellini clothing like sweaters, skirts and some dresses."It was a seamstress, but a fashion designer:" The first thing I did not design, "he repeated:" I have never designed a dress. I use my pencil just to dye your eyes and write letters. Sculpt the model, rather than draw it. I take the fabric and cut. Then he stuck with pins on a dummy and if he goes, someone sews. If you do not go to the unstitched and then the crop. If it still does not throw it away and start over ... To be honest I do not even sew. »
The white and black are not the only colors used by Chanel, which also took his clothes in shades like beige, gray and navy blueDeauvilleIn 1913, Capel for Chanel opened a new shop in the seaside resort of Deauville. In Deauville, inspired by the sailors at work, Chanel reinterpreted their clothing, making sweaters with the same neckline. Any style of Chanel is referring to the common life of those around her, to give practical clothing that the Belle Epoque was replaced with corsets, corsets for hats and scaffolding.

The Great War:In the summer of 1914 war broke out and took off Chanel Modes. The wealthiest families in France were spending the summer in the coastal resort of Deauville. There, the ladies could buy beautiful hats and light clothing by Gabrielle Chanel Modes Chanel.La was closing, when Coco received news from Capel, who suggested not to interrupt the activity. The young French men enlisted, and their wives returned to Deauville, where he engaged in volunteer work to assist injured.Chanel was the only clothing store remained open and offered clothing that presented themselves in that situation and adapted to practical needs.

Following the success of Deauville, July 15, 1915 Chanel Modes also opened on the Atlantic coast of France, in 1917, one of the five laboratories that Chanel had opened, 60 seamstresses were busy packing clothes for the rich only Spanish ladies.1916 is the year of the jersey: Coco Chanel textile industrialist Jean Rodier bought a round of jersey machined, with whom he began to make its leaders. In keeping with Chanel mythology there is also another version: the signed agreement provided that Rue Cambon store sells only hats, because there was already a nearby clothing store. Not being considered at that time, the jersey material for clothing for women, it seems that Chanel has circumvented the terms contrattuali.L 'introduction of this material in the clothing sector until then for the production of linen was a real novelty. Even today, Chanel is known for his creations in Jersey.Misia Sert, and the circle of artists:It was during those years that Chanel made the acquaintance of Misia, the woman who introduced her into the world of artists and intellettuali.Misia, Polish pianist, had made his entry into the art world following her marriage to the founder of the journal avant-garde Revue Blanchel. When the party ended, Chanel put on his coat and Misia did not remain indifferent to the head. She praised the Polish coat of Chanel fashion designer and if raised off for regalargliela.Nel 1918, Chanel made her lover to the full amount that was paid.
In the twenties, Chanel launched the fashion of the hair short. It was inevitable. Having accidentally burned the hair on a cooker, cut the rest. After a while the young fashionable women imitated her taglio.Nel 1925 Chanel started attending the Duke of Westminster, known as Bendor. It was he who gave birth in her interest in the Scottish tweed.Chanel new style which demanded the key word was comfort, Poiret could not adapt and appeal to the Belle Epoque of his head marked the sunset of his era. This was the year 1926 for the debut of the little black dress, the little black dress, the American magazine Vogue era elogiò.Chanel proceeded in his rise and his Parisian fashion house in 1928 moved to 21 Rue de Cambon number 31, where he held three piani.Nel 1927, sportswear designer Chanel also came across the Channel in London, where he opened a new store of Coco.
Chanel # 5:In the twenties, Coco began a relationship with the cousin of Tsar Nicholas II.In 1923 came on the market its fragrance Chanel No. 5. The fragrance was quite innovative at a time when they began to be timidly off the synthetic perfumes. The scent of Chanel was created artificially with synthetic molecules. Thus was born a new ideal of perfume. The fragrance was named # 5 because it corresponded to the quintessential Chanel choice (but it is also said that 5 was her favorite number).
STYLE:At the end of World War I, during which Chanel Modes had imposed its presence on the market, created the prototype of garçonne.Coco Chanel, through fashion, was the new female model that was developed in 900: a dynamic woman, who worked and that he could no longer be a slave constrictive clothing dellaBelle Epoque.Chanel gave women the right dress the new one. The same famous little black dress seems inspired by the split of orders. The designer claimed that "the true elegance can not ignore the full possibilities of free movement." The freed women from corsets designer and scaffolding for hats, giving them comfortable clothes, simple lines to pursue a life dinamica.A since 1913 up to 1930, Chanel brought the length of skirts below the knee and lowered the point life, promoted the use of jersey and style marinara, and finally introduced the use of trousers femminili.Chanel creates the new woman of the twentieth century, a woman who claims through its review of men's clothing. The Depression Years:In the thirties Chanel is dedicated to making jewelry. Until then, the designer had suggested - in conjunction with its leaders - pieces of jewelry, such as jewelry, crystal stones, fake, fake pearl necklaces and chains dorate.Il October 29, 1929 America witnessed the collapse of Wall Street and the effect is the European dawn began to perceive only the years of the Depression and suffered trenta.Chanel left for Hollywood, for a gig as costume designer. He returned to Paris two years later and it was then, in 1934, who proposed to his customers jewels.
His career as a costume:Chanel took his talent also in plays and films.Onset dates back to 1911, when his straw hat on his head came on the scene of the actress Gabrielle Dorziat.Debuttò But in the real costume career in 1922, designing the costumes for the opera Antigone. Later, in 1924, created the clothes for the ballet Le Train Bleu, Picasso also contributed to the work, dealing with the scenografia.Più later, thanks to her new lover, the Duke of Westminster, Chanel met Samuel Goldwyn, who invited her United States to make the costumes to be used in his films. Chanel agreed and in April of 1931 he left for Hollywood in the company of Mysia. The contract signed by Chanel stipulated that make clothes for the actress Gloria Swanson, who however refused to wear the same clothing designer. The American career of Chanel was reduced to a single film.Con the advent of World War II, Chanel closed her studio, only to reopen at the end of the conflict. In 1939, he fled from Paris to return there in August 1940.In those years.
Return:In the years when Chanel absented himself from the fashion scene, appeared with his extravagant proposals Christian Dior, who in 1946 opened her own salon in Paris. It was a ball gown made of a taffeta curtain to mark his ritorno.Coco be improvised with the seamstress and a crimson curtain fabric, sewn directly on the body of the young woman realized her a new dress. In 1954, now seventy-one, he opened his fashion house Chanel, and recurred to his audience with a new collection, presented on February 5 of the 30 models 1954.I paraded before the eyes of a crowd of buyers, photographers and journalists. The first reaction of the French critics was absolutely negative, due to the use of the old temperature. Soon, however, the consensus began to arrive from America and Chanel returned once again to moda.Nell 'year of return of Chanel, Schiaparelli's extravagance was no longer hailed as the dawn, and the designer was forced to close. The proposed reopening of Chanel is the year of his tweed suit with a skirt that regains a little below the knee length, the short jacket and gold buttons. In 1955, Mademoiselle got another hit, giving life to another designer accessory timeless Chanel handbag 2.55. The innovative design is inspired, in the pure tradition of Chanel, the male wardrobe: to give volume to her clutch, designer outlets such as the grooms wore jackets from the racetracks. The quilted handbag - quilted or - showed the addition of a strap, which consisted of a metal chain, braided leather. In 1957, Coco Chanel was invited to Dallas to receive the Oscar of the sixties moda.Negli debuted the two-tone sandal, created for Chanel by French shoemaker Massaro.Chanel Andre died January 10, 1971 in a room at the Hôtel Ritz [76] , at the age of 87 years. Since 1983 the house was entrusted to Karl Lagerfeld.
Font style:Unlike his contemporary, Elsa Schiaparelli - who became influenced by the Surrealist and the current style of Poiret - Chanel was disconnected from the trends and fashions of the classic Chanel momento.La is preserved over the years thanks to the edges of defined lines and tissues opaque, with their colors, which are able to capture light.
